NC-TOPPS is required for 100% of members, ages six and older who have been formally admitted to the LME/MCO and are receiving qualifying mental health and/or substance use disorder services from a public-funded source
All child and adolescent members under the supervision of the juvenile justice system who are receiving ANY mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment services are required to be in NC-TOPPS if an LME-MCO enrolls them into CDW
Health Choice is a publicly funded source, but Health Choice consumers are only required to be in NC-TOPPS if an LME-MCO enrolls them into the Consumer Data Warehouse (CDW). You may contact Vaya Health at nctopps@vayahealth.com to determine if an NCTOPPS is required for a specific Health Choice member
High Fidelity Wraparound members are required to be in NC-TOPPS
Members receiving State Funded substance use disorder outpatient services are also required to have an NC-TOPPS
