NC-TOPPS System Access Control

In accordance with the North Carolina Statewide Information Security Manual, DHHS performs regular access control reviews of all systems handling the State’s data to ensure security technology and access control policies are in place to protect consumer data.  To ensure compliance, DHHS has determined it necessary to conduct access control reviews of all users in the NC-TOPPS system on a quarterly basis.   Access shall be controlled by the following

• User profiles that define roles and access
• Documented review of standard users’ rights
• Documented review of administrator (i.e. superuser) and user accounts
• Revocation upon termination of employment

Please regularly review your active user and superuser lists to determine whether accounts should be removed

• Instructions for removing users (and reassigning their members) is available under the “training Tools” Tab.
