Ethics, Confidentiality, and Legal Responsibilities in Healthcare TCM Training

After completing this course you will be able to recognize a member’s right to informed consent, develop an appreciation for the dynamics between values, ethics, and the law, identify the difference between the Privacy Rule, Security Rule, and Breach Rule, describe protected health information (PHI), and identify when a Release of Information (ROI) is needed and when to use the minimum necessary rule. Additionally, this course gives a brief overview of mandated reporter terminology and steps to take if you see or suspect abuse or neglect involving a child, a person with a disability, or an older adult.
